EU envoy for Afghanistan hopes the pause in Doha negociations is accompanied by a pause in fighting and assasinations.
Stressing on the need to pause the fighting in Afghanistan, European Union's envoy for Afghanistan said the continuation of fighting in Afghanistan could make the next steps of the nascent Afghan peace process even more difficult.
Reffering to the 20-day pause in negociations between the Afghan government and the Taliban in Doha, Roland Kobia, EU envoy for Afghanistan said that he hopes that the pause in Doha negotiations is accompanied by a pause in fighting and assassinations.
According to Journal"Afghanistan", Mr. Kobia in a tweet wrote that "Hope the pause in #Doha negociations is accompanied by a pause in fighting and assassinations."
Reffering to his participation at the "Afghan Non-dominant Minorities and Peace Process National Conference", he asserted that the EU will continue supporting inclusivity and the protection of minorities and that diversity is a wealth Afghanistan should cherish, not a problem that should vanish.
